Every day, millions of users use GitHub to view and interact with code. GitHub’s mission is to be the home for all developers, and reading code is one of the core experiences we offer. It is a non-linear, sometimes chaotic process of jumping between files to follow a trail, building a mental picture of how code relates to its surrounding context. Reading code is not as simple as reading the text of a file end-to-end. ![]()
